Winter Weather

We have had our share of winter weather here the past coupe weeks - enough to cancel school for 4 days, shut down the city for 2, and pretty much have me and the kids as close to nuts as possible. 

The first 2 days we got hammered with ice pellets - which resulted in 2 inches of solid ice all over everything.  It took L 3 hours over 2 days to chop all of it off - and lots of Aleve afterwards!

The craziest part was watching our 8 year old neighbor don his hockey skates and cruise off his deck, across his yard, through our yard, and all across the cul-de-sac - over grass, sidewalks, streets and all.

 
After 2 days of ice, the snow started.  Big beautiful flakes that added 5 inches to our 2 inches of snow.

So, life has been completely contained in the house, but the sun is coming out, the white stuff is starting to melt, and spring just may be around the corner.....
